
Reverend James
E. Kelley is the Senior Pastor of Beulah Gospel Tabernacle Church, located
in Bayonne,
NJ, where he has served for 19 years. Prior to becoming pastor,
Reverend Kelley served in various leadership capacities. he was
the head of the Youth Department in the local assembly for 4 years, then
promoted to preside over the North New Jersey area Youth Dept. in the
United Holy Church organization, serving there for 8 years. Rev.
Kelley was active in the Christian Education department as Assistant
Superintendent for the Bible Church School for 4 years.
Reverend Kelley received his call to ministry
while under the tutelage of the late Rev. Jesse Wooten at the Greater Holy
Tabernacle Church, Elizabeth, NJ. While there, he assisted in the
ministry by having full charge of one Sunday per month devoting it to the
training and development of the youth. Rev. Kelley served as the
minister-in-charge during the long-term illness of Rev. Wooten.
Rev. Kelley was ordained under the United
Holy Church of America organization, with the legal access to perform wedding,
funerals, baptisms, and christening. In 1985, he began his pastorate
at the Beulah Gospel Tabernacle Church. Rev. Kelley has made great
strides during his tenure as pastor by implementing various functions meeting
the needs of the parishioners and community. He also re-established
the finance department to resemble that of a corporation.
Along with pastoring, Rev. Kelley is currently
serving as an overseer of 6-10 local assemblies in the United Holy Church
of America. His responsibilities include maintaining proper order, settle
discrepancies, and provide an annual report on all activities.
Rev. Kelley's sole purpose is to preach
and teach the Word of God to the salvation of sinners and growth of born-again
believers. His vision for the local assembly exceeds that of the
ordinary or mundane pastorate. Rev. Kelley's vision includes the
supporting of the community through services such as childcare, elder care,
social services and counseling.
Rev. Kelley has been married to his wife
Eva for 36 years, and has four children. He resides in Hillside,
NJ where he was an active member of the Conklin Avenue Block Association,
helping to assure the safety of fellow residents. Rev. Kelley regularly
attended township meetings being a proactive member of the community. He
served as president of the Board of Directors at the Calvary Christian
School for 8 years, and an active member of the board for 12 years. Rev.
Kelley was recognized among the "Who's Who" in 2000.
Rev. Kelley lives to maintain a lifestyle
that complies with the Bible, the written Word of God, and his accomplishments
and current leadership roles are indicative of his success in that area. |
